DR. KATAYOUN ESFAHANIZADEH

Dr. Katy Esfahanizadeh is a well-known pediatric dentist from Iran with more than 25 years of experience. She previously served as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Azad Dental University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and also managed a very busy private practice.

Dr. Katy began her dental education at the age of 17. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Bangalore University in India, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad, Iran, her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry (MS) from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, and later completed a Fellowship in Hospital Dentistry at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She has also recently earned an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

In 2015, Dr. Katy moved to Canada and successfully completed the NDEB equivalency process to become a licensed general practitioner. Her extensive experience in providing comprehensive dental treatment for children and adolescents has resulted in many positive patient reviews, something she is very proud of. She has also developed a well-known “no freezing” technique that has helped reduce dental anxiety for patients of all ages. For more challenging cases, she is licensed to provide mild sedation.

Dr. Katy is often described as committed, reliable, and funny, and her approach helps patients feel at ease the moment they meet her. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, movies, and spending time with friends.
